Preparation Aspects


The most fundamental factor that contributes to the success of an interview is the time and quality of preparation made by the candidate for an interview. It reduces the uncertainty and anxiety that accompany an interview. The amount of preparation is directly related to the importance of the interview. Let me put few of the important aspects of preparation that are necessary for you while preparing for an interview. It mainly consist in getting ready with careful planning for yourself at the basic level, these valuable handy clues and hints will surely help to face nails of the interviews.
Firstly on your resume
 Have your resume printed on a single side of the white sheet of paper.
 Staple the multiple pages all together of your resume.
 Get at least minimum three copies of your resume .As you might face a panel of interviews and there might be possibility of getting your resume also crumpled during travel and handling.
 Never lie in your resume. Lying can back fire! The person sitting in front of you has ample experience of interviews and can easily know when you are faking it. So, keep it real and only write in your resume what you have actually achieved.
 Have a firm grasp on your resume, the job you’re applying for and the company.
Secondly on yourself
 Set examples of events that shape you apart from others.
 Be precise and specific about your achievements and your growth.
 Think of a exact and accurate reason as to why the interviewer should hire you. Try to provide them with solid and sound reason to choose you for the job.
 Collect enough data about the company so that you know it well and whole. you are suppose to work for them in less future of time ;they expect you to be well informed about the organization also its products, services, job description, staffs, cultures, client sand competitors.
 Match your strengths and skills to job requirements.
 You must be absolutely sure why you plan to quit your present job if it’s your next and why intend to join the new organization.
 Rehearse some interview questions by yourself or ideally with someone you trust.
 Get some feedbacks on your answers, as do they sound as good to others as they do to you?
 Make sure you prepare at least a few of questions so that you can pick one of them which is the most relevant to ask by you, when your potential interviewers give you the chance to speak up.
Dress for victory
 Make sure you look smart and professional.
 Wear something that is appropriate to the company you are going for interview; wearing a suit is always a best option. Almost all businesses you can wear suit but if u are having an interview in design or advertising field you can wear dresses of a bit more distinctive style.
 Wear light colored professional attire with freshly pressed. The idea here is not to have colour that are hard in the interviewers’ eyes.
 Golden rules includes :smart &neatly dressed ,polished shoes ,clean tidy hair tucked back in a good manner ,not too much of perfume or aftershave ,avoid jewellery, clean nails ladies if wearing sari pin it properly .
Jangling jewelry, and flicking of hair back throughout the discussion, adjusting the dress now and then distracts the interviewer. Remember you want them to focus on you and your abilities so don’t ever give them any chance to b distracted.

Lastly
 Decide what you will be taking in your handbag and set it aside.
 Last but not the least the day before your interview try to spend some time in re-evaluating all the roles you‘ve held and respective activities you have performed in those roles.
 Have a light dinner and get to bed early.
 Do all what makes you relaxed –take warm bath, exercise etc.
 Do as much of your morning preparation as you can.
 You should aim to convey a confident image of yourself despite the underlying nerves.
